Every slab Sheldon works with is sourced from Vancouver Island and the BC coast — old-growth forests, storm-fallen trees, and local mills. The land that shaped these trees is the same land your piece will call home.
Vancouver Island is home to some of the last old-growth temperate rainforest on earth. Western red cedar, big-leaf maple, Douglas fir — trees that have grown for centuries, shaped by Pacific storms and coastal fog.
When Sheldon selects a slab, he's choosing a piece of that story. The grain, the knots, the natural edge — they're a record of the tree's life. His job is to honour that, and bring it into yours.
